For Whom Nothing Changes: Gonzalo F. Mendez

Hello everyone, lately I have discovered an indie poetry book by the author Gonzalo F. Mendez. I am a big fan or poetry, from William Blake, Ted Hughes, and now Gonzalo F. Mendez. The poems in the book range from highly personal to metaphorical, with the third part becoming almost postmodernist in its formatting. It is aptly named erasure, as the classical structures of the text seem to dissolve into, well, erasure. The general prose of the book is beautiful, with a wide range of poetical styles being utilized. I did a mini-video review and will link it below. I would highly recommend checking this one out, especially if you are a fan of poetry. The author has a Bachelors of Arts and the educated structure and execution shows heavily. A wonderful find and one I shall be re-reading! Feel free to check it out by the Amazon link below.

  1. It reminds me that art, in its many forms, can evoke deep connections between humans and allow us to transcend beyond our individual selves. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights.
